Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Vincent N — 29 Nov 2014
Jessica Alba wriggling herself and Eva Green laying half-naked for nearly half this movie do not save me from boredom. The plots are not captivating. Marv is even more stronger than in the first movie, so there is no suspense.
Except for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, I find the actors under-perform, but in my opinion this is due to bad directing. Rodriguez has been recently better with off-beat humour movies like the Machete-franchise rather than this failed attempt at some film noir.
If you want to see a good use of Eva Green's assets, including her talent as an actress, you'd better watch 300 : Rise of an Empire also taken from a graphical work by Frank Miller.
