Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Lou A — 09 Dec 2014
Although this sequel isn't quite on the same level as its predecessor, it most certainly comes close and is the most successful of 2014, in the aspect of being purely badass. Fans of the first film (and the visionary Frank Miller) will still find this very enjoyable, thanks to an identical tone, fantastic new additions to the cast, breathtakingly attractive women, and an enhancement on those uniquely pristine visual-effects and cinematography, that feed so well off of each other.
Levitt's slick and suave character is arguably the greatest new addition, but Green plays a perfect villain for the second time this year. She mesmerizingly embodies an archetype femme-fatale.
