Review of Sin City (2005) by Callum H — 22 Aug 2014
Whether it was intentional or not as to how melodramatic and laughable portions of the acting and plot were, it doesn't matter; much of Sin City's gorgeous visuals are overshadowed by the faults that a translation from graphic novel to film can bring about; though the ambitiousness and fun execution of the film do make for an enjoyable ride that warrants a positive rating.
That, and Mickey Rourke turning up one hell of a badass performance.
