"Sin City" is a whole lot less epic or glorious than you'd expect it to be, due to some dusfynctional storytelling, an unoriginal script and loads of shallow characters. The very good moments are few and far between in what is essentially an average flick that differs from all other similarly themed films solely on the grounds of its comic book aesthetics.
Unfortunately, this visual choice hampers the film from ever becoming fully engaging: its mythical aura falls flat half the time.
