Review of Simple Men (1992) by Justin C — 05 Dec 2007
My first Hal Hartley film, and maybe I'm sentimental about it, but I also think it's his best one. Sure there isn't much plot, but that's never been the point of Hartley films. It's more about the human condition.
It's highly stylized, surreal, quirky, and no one I know has conversations like that, and maybe that's why it so appeals to me.
