The third film after Viridianna and EXTERMINATOR ANGEL....IF in the first Luis Buñuel is studding the flesh , and in the second the power and human vanity here is talking with his unique style about man and GOD .
..there is a mistake in the information of film . Simon hired to the column not to be nearest to God , but as a hard ascetic mood ., it was a trial we had very early in the history of Christianism ....
First in East dogma and later to Catholicism ...there is the saint Simon or in Simeon , who lived for many years in a column in Egypt desert.
