Review of Silver Streak (1976) by Sarfaraz A — 03 Apr 2012
Silver Streak comes out of mid 70's, although disaster movies had already swept across the audience all over the world from Hollywood and beyond; however, this exceptionally excellent film revived the genre in the mid of good old decade of 70's. It is a first film to have collaboration between Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor, the two went on to make about four movies together.
Silver Streak is written by Colin Higgins (Harold And Maude), and directed by Canadian filmmaker Arthur Hiller. Hiller takes complete liberty to mix 'murder and humor'.
