It's all about Cher and the hair. Nah, seriously. This is a solid effort by director Mike Nichols and Meryl Streep. What's more, it tells a true story that's by now forgotten by most: Twenty-eight-year-old Karen Silkwood of Oklahoma blows the whistle on a powerful nuclear energy company.
It's a riveting story about a salt-of-the-earth gal just naturally following her moral compass and getting all those rich powerful guys upset.
