Mike Nichols’ compelling, true story, “Silkwood”, features fine performances and a strong, literate script. Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell and Cher star in this moving tale of activism and its consequences.
One of the best films of the 1980’s, it remains sorely underseen. Sam O’Steen’s editing and Georges Delerue’s evocative score stand out among the many artistic achievements to be found in this film.
