Review of Silkwood (1983) by A.d. O — 15 Aug 2011
I was surprised and slightly disappointed to find 'silkwood' is rather lackluster. it's just like every other 'whistle-blower' movie i've seen, although it seemed very held back and maybe a bit too restrained.
the performances make up for it, though - meryl streep remains the ultimate master of dialects and accents! the ending, too, is poetic, haunting, perfect!
