Review of Silent Rage (1982) by Jim C — 16 Apr 2008
Could this be anymore of a Hallowe'en rip off? Killing a family member at the start, being virtually comatose throughout the film, killing two people and leaving one on the bed, the other hung on a door, and when Chuck shoots him and falls out the window - oh yeah and then the Hallowe'en II moment when he gets engulfed in flames but still lives.
I mean, FOR FUCKS SAKE, maybe this film could have been better, MAYBE. But to blatently rip-off the definitive horror film from the last 30 years is just wrong (this was made in 1982, I know that). Having said that, did this film inspire Hallowe'en 4? Bad guy gets put down a well at the end but is not dead? Coincidence much? LOL.
I suppose it was quarter worth it to see Chuck do some of his round house kicks at the end. This film should and would be a 1 STAR effort if it wasn't for the fact that Ron Silver was in it. Anyone who watches West Wing will know that is a bloody good actor, its just a shame he sullied his name with this tripe.
Sorry Chuck, you maybe a hard fucker, but this film couldn't fuck a prostitute if it had a thousand pound strapped too it's knob in fifties..!
