Review of Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) by Arjan A — 27 Mar 2006
Over half of the film is just flashbacks from Silent Night, Deadly Night part 1. After about 40 minutes there is finally a new killer santa. Watching this film was like watching a cut down version of the first film and then about 30 minutes of new footage.
The acting is horrible, not that it matters in a movie like this but it certainly doesn't help the film. Worst of all is that the film starts to drag from too many flashbacks. Once young brother Ricky starts killing, the film does get better.
The ending was also pretty decent and sets up a sequel.Overall, if you were a fan of the first film then just make sure to foward the first 40 minutes of Silent Night, Deadly Night Pt. 2 and you might just enjoy it.
