'25 DAYS OF HELLIDAY HORROR'.

#14: Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 3: Better Watch Out! (1989).

This is where the series definitely takes a dive bomb into hell. You can forget about the traditional theme that SNDN once hailed, which was the 'Killer Santa' theme. Nope, you can forget about it, that is all said and done with. What you have is a brain dead, zombie-frankenstein version of Ricky, the killer from SNDN2. The plot is atrocious! Some scientist unexplainably has Ricky's comatosed body. He has preserved Ricky's brain in a weird, fish bowl type encasement on the top of his head. It is ridiculous. Blood constantly sloshes around inside of the bowl, the brain is also viewable, it looks very cheesy. "It looks like a slushee machine on top of his head." Well said Phats. The shit gets worse, this same mad doctor is conducting an exeriment with a blind girl who he believes has psychic abitlities. During a series of experiments, the girl has horrible nightmares, these nightmares are the scenes from 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' of Billy and Ricky's parents getting killed by the evil Santa. later on the zombified, slushee-machine-head Ricky awakes and begins a molasses slow series of murders.

Overall: It sucked! The actor that played Ricky in Part 2 doesn't even play him in this piece of crap. I can see why, I bet he took one look at the script and almost puked! Ricky is now played by Bill Moseley (Otis from 'House of 1000 Corpses') who really does no justice to the roll whatsoever. It wasn't his fault, the script obviously just sucked Jack Frost's radioactive snowballs so he didn't have a lot to work with! The main reason it sucked is because the first person that Ricky kills is a drunk guy in a santa suit. Okay then, Why didn't he steal the Santa suit and wear it? That was so lame!! Instead he decides to steal the clothes of some stupid guy with a beanie that gives him a ride while he is hitchhiking! how stupid is that? They could have actually kept it a killer santa flick, but no!! They major fucked it up and had him a slow, fish-bowl headed idiot! Wow. . It also sucked because the kills were just so watered down and lame. Half the time it cut out and didn't even show any gore with most of the kills. There were often times when it just plain doesn't even feel like christmas at all. The movie jumps off track so bad that they often forget to add in scenes of christmas, like trees or even christmas lights on houses (yes it lacks that much detail!) We are finally reminded that it is christmas at the very end of the movie when it is briefly mentioned in some cheesy dialog. Then the stupid, brain dead Ricky pops out before the end credits (wearing a tuxedo) and says "And a Happy New Year." Give me a break. Why would he say that? is he going to be the braindead New Years Eve killer now?? It was just so bad that it was almost mind numbing. It was definitely shittier than part 2. The actors were horrendous! The actress playing the blind girl did such an unforgivably horrid job that it would normally put the movie into the negatives for ratings, but since its the holidays, it at least gets some credit for trying. Be warned though, it is truly Awful, just awful...absolutely awful. Nuff said.
