Review of Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984) by Kenneth B — 28 Dec 2012
Silent Night, Deadly Night is a run of the mill slasher, it just happens to have a Christmas theme. A kid witnesses his parents murder by a man wearing a Santa costume and develops a mental complex. He spends the remainder of his childhood in an orphanage and when he is a teenager he is given a job at a local store.
When he is tasked with the job of playing the role of the stores Santa Claus he starts getting flashbacks, then he cracks and starts murdering people. The problem is that it is neither scary nor funny.
