Micro review: Mel Brooks 'Silent movie' takes too much from 'Pink Panther' and the 3 Stooges, and not nearly enough from Chaplin and Keaton.
There is a fun vibe with some playful scenes, but like most of Mel Brooks' films the comedy is forced and more than a little cheesy. I wonder if it might have benefited from being shot in Black and White.
