Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Christophera. — 07 Jun 2006
The big advantage the games have over this movie is their interactivity - which is exactly the element heightening the suspense. The movie feels like a very extended cut scene but a pretty one at it. The photography is awesome and very much remniscant of how all games look - eerie.
The movie would probably have been better in its original state - without any male leads - focusing on the mindstate that is Silent Hill instead of switching back and forth between "real" and "unreal".
Very decent videogame adaption though that doesn't deserve as much negative criticism as it has been receiving.
