Review of Silence (2017) by Elaine W — 12 Jan 2017
This is a very intense film. My first Scorsese film. Andrew Garfield's character performance does tend to be a bit too dominant at times. It would've been interesting to see a bit more of Adam Driver's character's solo storyline; after the Padres had been initially split up.
That being said however, it's still a solid 4 star film rating. Think of it as the reverse of the 1980s film, "The Mission", located in 17th Century rural Japan.
