This movie was very very long and very depressing. It depicted the timeframe in Japan very well with their anti-Christian prejudice and the conflict with the Catholic Church. If one does not maintain strong Catholic belief system it is really just depressing.
Liam Neeson was depicted as a star but could've been more of a cameo role for the amount of time he was in the movie.
