Review of Silence (2016) by Nickthecritick — 04 Nov 2021
This is a slow paced, reflexive, mature movie and I really enjoyed it. It entertained me in a subtle way and it never felt boring. It talks about religion, it talks about the Christian colonization carried out by Jesuit missionaries in the East and it works.
It works thanks to a nice cinematography, editing and a good story-telling ability by Scorsese.
