I enjoyed the atmosphere, the performances and the profound dialogue in this film, but a question needs to be raised: What is it with Americans placing both Aliens and God together in the same story? Isn't it one or the other? "War of the worlds" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" also come to mind.
