I can appreciate an attempt to do the whole, "less is more" idea with an alien movie, considering you barely ever see the invaders. Unfortunately this movie did not pull it off. The script was bad, and the plot hooks that pulled the story were weak and unbelievable.

This movie was, stated by M.Night, supposed to be a movie that dealt with a man regaining his faith. The whole part of regaining the faith seemed a little non-realistic in the way that it was executed.

The saving grace for this movie was the rare scenes of eeriness, and Gibson's performance. Other than that it was just trying to tell you that it was either a drama or a phony horror movie.
