Review of Signs (2002) by Bfoore90 — 12 Jan 2016
One of the last intriguing and truly good films of M.Night Shyamalan, it was interesting from start to finish and some of Shyamalans strongest work of his career. The story is great and very fitting to what Shyamalan style is and the performances from Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix are superb in a story about the supernatural, fate, and the choices that come with regarding to a man's faith in God.
The ending on the otherhand, is a bit of a downer. Its almost too cliche for a story regarding aliens. As a whole, Signs is scary, hopeful, emotional, and weirdly majestic while M.Night Shyamalan plays to the audiences every tense step of the way.
