The film itself should be approached like a fine wine: Uncork it, give it time to breathe, and then luxuriate in its rich, heady flavor. Sideways is an intoxicating movie about wine aged to perfection sipped by men who've aged to mediocrity.
The film is more of a character study than anything else, but with characters as good as these, you really don't need much of a plot. Make sure you savor this one - vintages of this quality don't happen every season.
