Review of Sideways (2004) by Anthony M — 15 Jul 2010
A film that got a lot of hype at the time, and won a lot of awards around the world. I have now finally got round to watching it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not the greatest ever comedy, but it does have charm even if I don't really like any of the main characters.
The film does have a great look, the cinematography looks great and the colour of the film is so summery. The plot is the high point, the writers have done a great job and the characters come alive on screen, with some great dialect.
This is a film I will go back and watch but it's not the classic that everyone says it is, it's just very arrange, but worth a watch.
