Money is the root of evil once again is portrayed in this psychiatric thriller. Is a crime a crime only when a psychiatrist calls it a crime? Only in modern times can we blame acts of wickedness on psychiatric aberrations or side effects to psychiatric drugs.
Whichever it may be, the perpetrator is absolved of her wickedness and cannot be held accountable. Such ambiguities were never so in olden times as evidenced in the Book of Deuteronomy. Did Cain plead insanity for his murder of Abel like Emily did of sweet Martin (Channing Tatum)?
