Side Effects has great performances, especially from Rooney Mara who convincingly plays the manipulative Emily Hawkins, and Jude Law in the lead role. There are some slow moments in the film and in my honest opinion, Emily and Dr.
Sieber could've easily been simple crime partners, without the lesbian aspect that felt shoe horned to please perverts in the audience. Channing Tatum's role was pretty filler and could have been played by anyone, really.
Overall, Side Effects is still an intelligent, thought provoking mystery thriller with good performances, great twists and a clever story.
