Review of Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018) by Andrew M — 18 Jul 2018
Despite most reviews given, I thought the idea of two withered veterans going for the throat of the Cartel was a riviting plot. From the inner demons of the US military, to the humanization of Del Toro's Alejandro; it was all enough to keep me on the edge of my seat.
The cinematography, on the other hand, takes the cake entirely, with how stunning the shots were. The ending did leave a sour taste in my mouth, but it wasn't enough to put me off. It wasn't the sequel we were all necessarily asking for, but it did the first installment justice.
