Moody, dark, yet emotionally distant, this war on drugs on the front lines certainly feels authentic and some of the cinematography brilliantly and creatively takes the viewer into places we'd rather not go.

Despite the grit and virtuoso filmmaking, something still feels off, from the less than believable characters to the motivations to some contrived moments.
