Review of Shut Up and Play the Hits (2012) by Kyle K — 18 Mar 2012
It's more about tone and atmosphere with this underlying depression because of the band ending than some deep insightful picking at James Murphy's brain. It's brilliantly shot, which is applaudable for a documentary.
It has some of the best shot concert footage I've ever seen in my life and it's very affecting to see how emotionally invested these fans are in the band. Also Donald Glover dancing and Aziz Ansari crowd surfing is hilarious.
