If there's a definition to an average movie this is it. It doesn't reach you the same way the first two did, but like the 3rd it provides enough entertainment and keeps the same charm that you've come to love from Shrek.
Certainly is worth the watch, and even worth rewatching marathon style. In short, taking the risk of making a 4th movie in any franchise is a big one, and I'm glad they decided to do it.
