I have very little ideas as to why this movie gets so much flak. Sure, it's not as silly, vivacious or original as the movies that came before it (aside from Shrek 3), but it's got heart, atmosphere, emotion, action, and a **** awesome villain.
It's an absolute masterpiece next to the third entry in the series, and is such a criminally underrated animated movie.
