Review of Shrek (2001) by Keshav P — 17 Jul 2015

An impressive twist on the fairy tale genre where an ogre finds himself on a mission to rescue a princess. It's quite similar to The Beauty and Beast as well. As an animated feature, this movie has the visuals to delight almost anybody but its from the story telling perspective where this film shines.

Its simple plot allows the characters to grow and in this process the audience gains to ability to truly sympathize with them. Packed with adventure and heart, Shrek is the embodiment of what a film should be.
