Review of Showgirls (1995) by Rocknblues 8 — 25 Nov 2009

This is about as bad of a film as it gets folks. There are tons of drama here and nobody to give a crap about. When those two things come together you know you have a terrible film. I'm sure Elizabeth Berkley thought this was a good role to take considering she had just left the Saved By the Bell show and obviously wanted her movie career to go into a totally different direction.

But all she did was prove that she is a mediocre actress and damaged her reputation as an actress from the start basically. This isn't porn, so you don't further your career by getting naked on film. It seems a lot of young actresses make this mistake. Even Jessica Biel has from what I understand.

The film is full of bad scenes. Even the sex/sexy scenes are flat with the exception of Gina Gershon. Granted, I don't dig on chicks that like old men, but she was the hottest woman in the picture. But that's the only positive thing I can say here. It's a trashy film with no quality scenes or basically anything. This one is just one big turd.
