Review of Shottas (2002) by Lewis E — 08 Jul 2011
It does follow the standard cliches of a gangsta film with the rise to the top and then the inevitable backlash from rivals but the strong jamiacan accents and no limits to nudity or violence makes Shottas feel as real as it can be.
A bit difficult to understand all the time but I'm kind of glad they didnt dilute the language. Being of jamiacan background, I porbably enjoyed this more than others will but don't let that stop you, just bring your english-jamiacan translation with you if you think you need one.
A film for real Bludclart Shottas.
