Review of Shotgun Stories (2007) by Brain R — 25 Jan 2009
Moody, atmospheric backwoods morality tale. In lesser hands this would have been hixploitation, but it's much more in keeping with the films of Terence Malick and Monte Hellman than, say, Macon County Line.
Oh, and if critics aren't hailing Michael Shannon as a young Marlon Brando....then they really need to get on that.
