One of the most beautiful, rewarding, and challenging films I've seen in a very long time. At first glance, this is just a movie about sex, but it's way deeper than that. It's all about the inside, what's happening inside as we all discover ourselves.
It's perfectly constructed, beautifully written, insanely true to life, and the acting is beyond amazing. The best thing is that it's also tongue-in-cheek hilarious, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, and the music is fitting in more ways than one.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind film that almost pushes you to reexamine your life, and its characters are completely timeless. Shortbus is a beyond perfect masterpiece that will be loved and cherished by the gay community, and even by straight people that are willing to give this a shot.
