Works best as a snapshot of a particular character milieu; when the plot tries to inject some conflict it feels contrived. But I found it hilarious (some awesomely quotable lines and gags), moving, and often beautiful, though the climax during the blackout does come very, very close to stepping over the line from poignant and affecting into maudlin sentimentality.

I can understand if people think it fell over that line, but it worked for me.
