When a film's opening sequence includes a nude man in the bathtub filming his bobbing penis, one might wonder whether or not it will progress into a Cinemax-esque skin flick. Fortunately, Shortbus is more substantive.
It depicts love and sex in very real contexts, with raw, fervent emotion. Although much of the scripted sex is quite graphic, I didn't feel like I needed to take a shower afterward.
