Review of Shortbus (2006) by Michaell. — 07 Oct 2006

I loved this movie. To me, it's a love song to a New York City that no longer exists amid the post-9/11 "Disneyfication" of the Big Apple. It's a toast to the strong connection of disconnected people.

I think one needs to have lived in Manhattan during the 1980s to really appreciate "Shortbus", but anyone with an open mind who isn't sex-phobic should find joy in its uplifting message of hope.

And damn, what a sexy cast...
