"Short Term 12" touches on some pretty heavy subject matter, but manages to achieve a dark, humorous and realistic atmosphere, thanks to Destin Daniel Cretton's superb writing and direction and the awesome performances of Brie Larson and John Gallagher Jr.
(the Tony-winning actor who wowed audiences as Moritz in "Spring Awakening"). Don't miss this one.
