Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Taylor B — 26 May 2008
Admittedly I have only seen about Five of Robert Altman's films. Nashville, which of course was brilliant. 3 Woman, which had great moments, but left me unfulfilled. Mccabe and Mrs. Miller which I should watch again, because I think I missed the point.
And then this amazing little film. I had been meaning to see this for a while, but finally have and I think I found the film that opens up Altman for me. What a beautiful amazing film. The cast is outstanding, the script is nearly perfect, the editing is brilliant.
.. A couple more viewings and this will become one of my favourites of all time.
