Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Deanomite — 27 Jan 2020
Robert Altman always gets the best from his actors, my favorite role was Keith Carradine in Thieves Like Us, also really liked The Long Goodbye. I can appreciate that he makes movies about the chemistry between actors and not plot, seeking something artistically unique.
At 3hrs I didn't expect to make it through with no real plot. Quit at 90 minutes, there seem to be no relationships at all, also jack Lemmons' desperation mirrored my own desperate desire for content.
