Review of Shopgirl (2005) by Courtney T — 20 Feb 2008
Horrible, horrible, horrible. Steve Martin wrote the crappy novella with Claire Danes in mind and then made an equally crappy movie out of it. There are so many problems with this flick. The characters are horribly one dimensional (even though they're forced to "grow" through contrived plot devices) and the story is just lame.
I love Jason Schwartzman but even he couldn't save this shitty excuse for a movie.
