Mirabelle is a lonely sales girl at Saks when she meets the uncultured Jeremy at a landry mat. Jeremy tries to win her over, but fails because Mirabelle thinks he is not good enough for her.
One day at Saks she is asked out by the wealthy Ray Porter. He has no interest in her what so ever, does not want to be her friend, does not want anything from her but sex.
She agrees to go to Ray, and ditches Jeremy. Possible the worst mistake she could make.
