Very dull and is on the wrong side of quirky. Considering that it's based on Steve Martin's own novella, you'd think that the guy would at least try and act like he is interested. Well, he doesn't, and that ruins any chemistry he may have shared with Claire Danes, and a potentially sweet movie.
