Review of Shopgirl (2005) by Chrys B — 03 Dec 2007
It is an interesting storyline that to me the movie did not do justice to. Although the actors are all experienced, perhaps their odd casting added to the movie not clicking for me. Based on a book, this movie centres around Danes search for a happy relationship and love, and finding them in different, socially unacceptable places.
I would recommend this movie because it is a bit different to most in the romance genre, perhaps because it is more realistic, but would also add I found it to be slightly longwinded and disjointed.
