Review of Shopgirl (2005) by Robert C — 11 Jan 2010
I hated the voice over. Why why why the voiceover? The filmmakers did a good job of turing Claire Danes into a "plain jane", which should have been quite the task. I was cheering for Ray the whole beginning of the movie, and somewhere I just started hating him.
Schwartzman's character was interesting, but he nor Martin seemed to have any on-screen chemistry with Danes.
