Review of Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007) by Alok V — 29 Jul 2008
Movie could have been better. For whatever reason, Vivek Oberoi has never been able to recapture the hunger he had in COMPANY -- even when portraying a similar role as gang boss. And what the hell were they thinking making Tusshar Kapoor a villan? Very unconvincing (though may be because I just saw him in "Kya Kool Hain Hum") The musical score and cinematography was nothing to write home about and neither was the acting particularly.
The violence/shooting was over-the-top, although that was the point of the movie -- and there wasn't much in the way of the plot. If you watch the first 20 minutes and the last 20 minutes, you could just skip over everything in the middle; because there wasn't really anything of substance that I can recall.
