Review of Shooter (2009) by Brian B — 23 Jul 2013
Conspiracies in movies often provide the best premises for suspenseful stories, political thrillers make often room for twists at the end of the movie, mix the whole thing together and add an innocent hero on the run and fighting to prove his innocence, and a product like the Shooter emerges.
Mark Wahlberg plays the sniper accused for the assassination attempt of the President superbly and in his ruthless search for the truth his cat and mouse game with the enemy is great to follow. Even the ending, although an example of self justice fits perfectly 90 %.
