Yes, it's nothing more than a by-the-numbers action thriller, with a big heart and no brain. But, if you look for long enough, you become absorbed into the world created, you start to pick your sides and, at the end, you become happy that justice was seemingly done.
And, by being that involved in a film, and feeling that way for each character, doesn't that prove that the film has done its job?
